Fifth Golden Kela Awards: Ajay, Sonakshi named worst actors

Son of Sardar stars Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha have been named the worst actors of 2012, while Shirish Kunder Joker won the worst film and director trophies in the annual Golden Kela fifth here.

Advaita Kala, author of Kahaani was present at the event to collect the award on behalf of anti-Kela cast and crew Kahaani.

“This is the first time that I came to award function. Therefore is very special and memorable. This award is very special to me because the story has a strong female character,” said Kala.

The most ‘outrageous’ prize was won by Anvita Dutt lyrics for his song Ishq Wala Love film Student of the Year. Dutt was present at the ceremony to receive his award, becoming the first person to receive his Golden Kela person.

“When I was writing the song, Shekhar (musical director) came to me and told me I will win an award for the song one day. When I heard about the nomination called me to say that if I am going to give a prize to use my most expensive designer sari and told me these awards are not manipulated but I’m really touched to receive the award, “Dutt said before thanking Karan Johar for the trophy.

The most irritating song award was given to Ta Chinta Chita Chita to earn 100 crore film Rowdy Rathore.

‘Why do you keep trying’ award went to the actor Jackky Bhagnani, whose last release was Rangrezz.

The unique award ceremony also criticized Indian audiences to spend money on bad movies and help them win 100 crore. The public was given “ho gaya hai ke Bawara” (Have you gone crazy) prize.

Event organizers paid tribute to comedian Japsal Bhatti, who was the first and only recipient of the award “Golden Kela Lifetime Achievement ‘. Jaspal Bhatti died in October 2012 in a car accident.
