Zoya Akhtar: Every success has been achieved by Katrina Kaif
Director Zoya Akhtar, who once again teams up with Katrina Kaif for Bombay Talkies, says popular actress has come a long way and got all the impossible things when she entered the film industry a decade ago.
Besides Hindi, Indian-born British actress and former model has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films.
“Katrina Kaif is someone who dreams of becoming a big movie star in India was an impossible dream into account where it comes from and what his life.
“But that did not stop it. Dreams come true … Just believe in yourself. She realized that it was impossible for her to perform,” Zoya told PTI.
Katrina made her acting debut in 2003 with Kaizad Gustad ‘Boom’. Subsequently, she appeared in Sarkar by Ram Gopal Varma, Salman Khan starrer Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, among others.
She played memorable roles in blockbusters such as running, Partner, Singh Is Kinng, New York, Rajneeti, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Ek Tha Tiger.

It revolves around a boy who dances to the tune of Sheila ki Jawani (very popular item song with Katrina in Tees Maar Khan) all day and wants to be like the actress. The craze for Katrina borders on obsession kid.
The story is supposed to be based on a real life incident. Zoya fell on the boy a few years ago at a social get-together and wanted to believe on celluloid since.
“When we were kids, we used to dress up and dance. Even boys dressed as girls and dance, “said the filmmaker, who made his debut as a director with” Luck By Chance “in 2009.
The film also stars child actor Chillar Party Naman Jain.

“Bombay Talkies” is a collaborative project and it also features short videos produced by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee.
The idea of this short film, produced by Ashi Dua, came to Zoya sometime back.
